Shanghai University of science and technology, as a major project of "the 12th Five Year Plan" of Shanghai in 2013, is a full-time ordinary university approved by the Ministry of education, jointly organized and constructed by the Shanghai Municipal People's government and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and supervised by the Shanghai Municipal People's government.
